Evans, Sgt. Arthur b. April 8, 1891 d. November 1, 1926 World War I Victoria Cross Recipient. Born in Liverpool, England, he served as a Sergeant in the Lincolnshire Regiment, British Army. On September 2, 1918, near Etaing, France, a British patrol on the west bank of a river sighted a German machine-gun on the east bank.
