Gligorov, Kiro b. May 3, 1917 d. January 1, 2012 Macedonian Statesman. He was the first democratically elected President of the Republic of Macedonia, serving from 1991 to 1999. Born in present-day Serbia, Gligorov graduated from the Belgrade School of Law. He served in a number of government cabinet posts in the former Yugoslavian Republic, including Finance Secretary. Trajkovski, Boris b. June 24, 1956 d. February 26, 2004 Macedonian President. Served as president of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia from December 1999 until his death in office.
