Garland, Harry b. 1844 d. May 21, 1883 Indian Wars Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. Entered service in the US Army from Indianapolis, Indiana and served as a Corporal in Company L, 2nd U.S. Cavalry. He showed gallantry in action with hostile Sioux, at Little Muddy Creek, Montana on May 7, 1877. Having been wounded in the hip and was to unable to stand at Camas Meadows, Idaho, on August 29, 1877, he still continued to direct the men under his command until the enemy withdrew. Milburn, Frank W b. January 11, 1892 d. October 25, 1962 United States Army General. He served in World War I, World War II, and the Korean War. A decorated hero, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal (2 awards), the Silver Star (2 awards), the Legion of Merit, and the Bronze Star. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, he was commissioned in June 1914.
