O'Callahan, Joseph Timothy b. May 14, 1904 d. March 18, 1964 World War II Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Commander in the Chaplin Corps in the United States Naval Reserves. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on March 19, 1945 while on board the "USS Franklin" near Kobe, Japan. His citation reads "For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as chaplain on board the U.S.S.
