Brewer, Richard M. b. February 19, 1850 d. April 4, 1878 Western Rancher and Lawman. On March 1, 1878, at the beginning of the Lincoln County War, New Mexico, he was appointed constable by the Magistrate. His group known as “The Regulators” included Billy the Kid and other deputies. Roberts, Andrew 'Buckshot' d. April 5, 1878 Western Outlaw, Frontiersman. He was known as Bill Williams in Texas, fought during the Civil War, was a Texas Ranger, a hunter under Buffalo Bill Cody and a deadly gunslinger. The moniker "Buckshot" came from a load of buckshot which crippled his left arm. During the Lincoln County War New Mexico, he was a member of the Dolan group who ambushed and killed John Tunstall.
