Haslet, Joseph b. 1766 d. June 20, 1823 19th and 25th Delaware Governor. He served as Governor of Delaware from January 15, 1811 to January 18, 1814. He was then elected as Delaware's 25th Governor to a second non-consecutive term and served from January 21, 1823 to June 20, 1823. Lofland, James Rush b. November 2, 1823 d. February 10, 1894 US Congressman. He was appointed as a member of the Delaware State Constitutional Convention in 1853 by Governor William Ross, then was appointed Secretary of State of Delaware by Governor Peter Causey and served from 1855 to 1859. During the Civil War he was commissioned as a Major of Volunteers, and served in the Volunteers Paymaster Department from February 19, 1863 to January 15, 1867, receiving a brevet of Lieutenant Colonel, US Volunteers for his service. Watson, William Tharp b. June 22, 1849 d. April 14, 1917 51st Delaware Governor. He served as a Delaware State Senator, and became the Speaker of the Senate. On April 8, 1895, as Senate Speaker, he assumed the office of Governor upon the death of Governor Joshua H. Marvil, and served until January 19, 1897.
