Dodd, Robert Fulton b. December 31, 1844 d. September 14, 1903 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in Galt, Ontario, Canada, he entered the Union Army on May 4, 1862, enlisting in the "Stanton Guards", an independent company of Michigan infantry raised to guard three political prisoners at Mackinac Island. He served in this duty until he was mustered on September 25, 1862m then re-enlisted in the Army on February 25, 1863. Hextall, Bryan b. July 31, 1913 d. July 25, 1984 Professional Hall of Fame Hockey Player. He played right wing position for such teams as the Vancouver Lions (1934-1936), Philadelphia Ramblers (1936-1937), New York Rangers (1936-1937, 1937-1944, and 1945-1948), St. Catharines Saints (1944-1945), Cleveland Barons (1948-1949), and Washington Lions (1948-1949). He was the father of hockey players, Bryan Hextall Jr. and Dennis Hextall, and grandfather of Ron Hextall. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1969. King, Ross b. 1919 d. 1972 Professional Hockey Player. A native of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, King played for Canada during the 1948 Olympics and won the Olympic gold medal for them that same year.
