Dinsmoor Jr., Samuel b. May 8, 1799 d. February 28, 1869 New Hampshire Governor. A native of Keene, New Hampshire, he attended Dartmouth College and graduated in 1814. After building a legal practice, he traveled south in 1819 and served as a legal assistant to the territorial governor of Arkansas, returning in 1823. In 1825, he accompanied General Lafayette while he toured New Hampshire. From 1826-30, he served as a clerk in the New Hampshire State Senate.
