Mellen, Thomas b. May 15, 1713 d. 1782 Thomas Mellen was a Major in the French and Indian War fighting in New York State and Canada. He was one of the 200+ delegates to the First Massachusetts Provincial Congress in 1774 which decided to raise money for guns, ammunition, and mess kits "in case war with the British was necessary."
