Morrill, Walter Goodale b. November 30, 1840 d. March 3, 1935 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was a Colonel in the Union Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a Captain in Company B, 20th Maine Infantry for action on November 7, 1863 at Rappahannock Station, Virginia. His citation reads "Learning that an assault was to be made upon the enemy's works by other troops, this officer voluntarily joined the storming party with about 50 men of his regiment, and by his dash and gallantry rendered effective service in the assault." Powers, Llewellyn b. October 14, 1836 d. July 28, 1908 US Congressman, Maine Governor. Elected to represent Maine's 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1877 to 1879, and 1901 to 1908. Also served as Governor of maine from 1897 to 1901.
