Woods, Daniel A. b. 1847 d. August 10, 1894 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served in the Civil War as a Private in Company K, 1st West Virginia Volunteer Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at the Battle of Sailors Creek, Virginia on April 6, 1865. His citation reads "Capture of flag of 18th Florida Infantry (C.S.A.)".
