Mudge, Charles Redington b. October 22, 1839 d. July 3, 1863 Civil War Union Army Officer. Served as Lieutenant Colonel of the 2nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. At the Battle of Gettysburg, on the morning of July 3, 1863, he received an order to lead his men down across Spangler's meadow to drive Confederates from captured Union breastworks at the foot of Culp's Hill.
