Parker, Richard Wayne b. August 6, 1848 d. November 28, 1923 US Congressman. He was elected as a Republican on three separate occasion to represent a four different New Jersey Congressional Districts in the United States House of Representatives. His first terms in office lasted from 1895 to 1911, during which he represented first the 6th District, then the 7th District, then finally the 13th District. Peterson, Thomas Mundy b. October 6, 1824 d. February 4, 1904 Social Reformer. He was the first black to cast a vote in the United States. This occurred at an election held in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on March 31, 1870.
