Adair, Edwin Ross b. December 14, 1907 d. May 5, 1983 US Congressman. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Quartermaster's Corps. Collins, Dorothy 'Dottie' b. September 23, 1923 d. August 12, 2008 Baseball Player. She was a pitcher in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball league for six seasons. The league was created in 1943 because many of the male major league baseball players were serving in the military during World War II. Collins joined the All-American League in 1944, pitching for the Minneapolis Millerettes, a team which later became the Fort Wayne Daisies.
