Rowe, Earl b. August 21, 1920 d. February 1, 2002 Actor. He began his career in 1941, playing summer stock in New York, when his career was interrupted by World War II. After he was wounded in Germany, he transferred to Army Special Services and toured Europe performing in GI shows. After his discharge, he returned to acting working on the "Playhouse in the Park" radio show and in Broadway productions. For feature films, he is best remembered for his role as the police chief Lt. Vickery, Thomas Gill b. May 5, 1867 d. March 21, 1921 Major League Baseball Player. Played on four National League organizations over his four year career. Nicknamed "Vinegar Tom", he pitched for the 1890 Philadelphia Phillies winning 24 games in his first year. He went on to pitch for the Chicago Colts, Baltimore Orioles and returned to the Philadelphia Phillies in 1893. He finished his career with 42 wins.
