Welchel, Samuel Davis b. January 9, 1752 d. September 4, 1833 Davis was a son of Dr.(Frantz)Francis Welchel/Whelchel whom was a soldier in the Revolutionary War whom served in SC, NC, Tennessee, Kentucky. Several spellings of his name have been found in the researched material in various states in which he lived. He moved with his wife to Indiana in 1787 transfer from Revolutionary War Record in South Carolina.
