Beatty, John b. December 10, 1749 d. April 30, 1826 US Congressman. Served as a Colonel in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Elected to represent New Jersey as At-Large in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1793 to 1795. Also served as a Member of the New Jersey State House of Assembly from 1789 to 1790, Delegate to the Continental Continental Congress from New Jersey from 1784 to 1785, and Secretary of the State of New Jersey from 1795 to 1805.
