Hancock, Melton D. 'Mel' b. September 14, 1929 d. November 6, 2011 US Congressman. A member of the Republican Party, he served Missouri's 7th District in the US House of Representatives from 1989 until 1997. He received his BS from Southwest Missouri State University in 1951 and following graduation, he served with the US Air Force for two years.
