Pritchard, Benjamin Dudley b. January 29, 1835 d. November 26, 1907 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He first served during the Civil Wart as Captain and commander of Company L, 4th Michigan Volunteer, eventually rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the unit. The 4th Michigan Cavalry is most famous for the capture of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy, on May 10, 1865, at Irwinville, Georgia.
