Polk, William Hawkins b. May 24, 1815 d. December 16, 1862 US Congressman. Elected to represent Tennessee's 6th District n the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1851 to 1853. He also served as a Member of the Tennessee State House of Representatives from 1842 to 1845, and as United States Minister to the Two Sicilies from 1845 to 1847. Winn, Richard b. 1750 d. December 19, 1818 US Congressman. He entered the Revolutionary War as a lieutenant, eventually attaining the rank of colonel of the South Carolina state militia. After the war, he was promoted to Major General of militia. He served in the South Carolina state assembly from 1779 to 1786. Appointed superintendant of Indian affairs for the Creek Nation in 1788.
