Kearns, Robert William b. March 10, 1927 d. February 9, 2005 Inventor. He is best known for his patents on the intermittent winds sheild wipers found on most vehicles. He had a prolonged legal battle with the Ford Motor Company, and achieved a settlement with the Chrysler Motor Corporation after his attempts to defend his patents.
