Applegren, Amy 'Lefty' b. November 16, 1926 d. April 3, 2011 Professional Baseball Player. A pitcher and first baseman, she played for 10 years in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL). Raised in Peoria, she manifested her athletic talent early, playing organized softball at 11.
