Billings, Franklin Swift b. May 11, 1862 d. January 16, 1935 Vermont Governor. A member of one of Vermont's most wealthy and prominent families, he graduated from Harvard University in 1885, worked on a Kansas sheep ranch and then engaged in the import-export business in New York City. In 1903 he moved to Vermont and was a director of the Woodstock Railway Company, Woodstock Hotel Company, Woodstock Aqueduct Company, Woodstock Electric Company, and other corporations.
