Kingman, John William b. January 1, 1821 d. December 17, 1903 Civil War Union Army Officer. Served during the Civil War as Colonel and commander of the 15th New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry, a nine-month enlistment regiment. He was commissioned on October 7, 1862 and was mustered out on August 13, 1863. In the interim, he led his unit in action in Louisiana, where it participated in siege and assault on Port Hudson.
