Burroughs, Sherman Everett b. February 6, 1870 d. January 27, 1923 US Congressman. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1894. Burroughs served as Private Secretary to Congressman Henry M. Baker from 1894 to 1897, while also attendeding law school at Columbian College (now George Washington University). He graduated in 1896 and became an attorney in Manchester. Jenks, Arthur Byron 'AB' b. October 15, 1866 d. December 14, 1947 US Congressman. In 1881 he began work in a shoe factory, and by 1902 was head of his own shoe manufacturing business. Reed, Eugene Elliott b. April 23, 1866 d. December 15, 1940 US Congressman. He was a telegrapher and became a successful construction contractor. Reed was a member of the Manchester City Council from 1899 to 1903 and Mayor from 1903 to 1911. In 1912 he was elected to the US House and served a single two-year term.
