Harkins, John J. b. April 2, 1859 d. November 18, 1940 1880's Major League Baseball Player. He was a pitcher with the Cleveland Blues of the National League and the Brooklyn Trolley-Dodgers of the American Association. He compiled a lifetime record of 51-83. He also played infield and outfield as well. After his major league career was over, he became a college baseball coach at Yale, Lehigh and Princeton.
