Wright, Elias b. June 22, 1830 d. January 2, 1901 Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in Company G, 4th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, on August 17, 1861. Promoted to 1st Lieutenant of Company D in January 1862, at this rank he participated in the Pennisular Campaign, and was captured at the Battle of Gaines Mill.
