Faye Helen Wallace 84 of Joplin passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2012 at Mercy Hospital.
Faye was born January 27, 1928 in Newton County Mo. daughter of the late Dora Shuey and Ada Belle Deerflinger Shuey. She worked for several years with St John's Hospital in the dietary department before retiring. and then she went to work forOxford Home Health Care as a caregiver. She was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Wallace who died June 11, 1970, two daughters, an infant, Joyce Elaine and Sharon Kay Dougherty, a granddaughter, Lisa Kay Daugherty, three sisters an two brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Wallace and wife Reva of Seneca, Ron Wallace and wife Karla of Joplin, dsaughter, Linda Parker and husband Bob of Webb City, eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday November 2, 2012 at 2p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church 6241 Spurgeon Road, with Rev. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sprng Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1p.m. until service time on Friday.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church.
