DORIS ELIZABETH LUTHER, age 82, of Smyrna, died October 31, 2012. She was a native of Piedmont, Alabama and the daughter of the late Robert E. Lee White and Maude Moon White. Funeral services were Friday at 3:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Dr. Michael Todd Kirkland officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Luther is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Andrews, and Harold Luther; her parents, Robert E. Lee White and Maude Moon White of Piedmont; two brothers, Kenneth E. White and Roy L. White of Piedmont; and two sisters, Thelma Harvey of Piedmont and Fay Howell of Hokes, Bluff, AL.
Mrs. Luther was a member of Mircle Baptist Church and was a retired teacher having taught in Smyrna and LaVergne for many years.
Family and friends served as pallbearers. Visitation was from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
