RAVENSWOOD — Frances Joan Robinson, 80, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, WV, passed away October 29, 2012, in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division.
She was born March 29, 1932, in Quiet Dell, WV, a daughter of the late Oren and Lucy (Fox) Jacobs.
Her husband, Lando Glenn Robinson, Sr., daughter, Constance Jean Brookover, a daughter-in-law, Vicki Lynn Robinson, and several brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening and working crossword puzzles. She was an active member and former secretary/treasurer of the Jackson County Democratic Women's Club, a member of the Senior Organization of American Retirees (SOAR) and a unit director for Girl Scouts of America, Senior.
Survivors include a son, Lando Glenn Robinson, Jr.; daughter, Cherri Ebsch; sisters, Minnie Lawrence and Bonnie DeWitt; grandchildren, Jamie Prior, Lori McKee, Matthew Robinson, Morgan Ebsch and James Ebsch ; four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, WV, with the Rev. Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
