AUSTIN Richard H. "Dick" Spiller Jr., 87, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Romiley Timmons, of Grace Episcopal Church in Georgetown, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin.
Mr. Spiller was born Dec. 11, 1910, in Canadian, Texas. His wife, Agnes Spiller, died in 1984.
He studied engineering at Oklahoma State University. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War as a master corporal. He was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation for 47 years.
He had lived in Austin before moving to Wichita Falls in 1993.
Survivors include two brothers, Hollis B. of Amarillo, Texas, and Michael W. of Wichita Falls.
