Miles Funeral Home in Hazelhurst announces the funeral service for Mrs. Addie Mae Carter Sweat, age 85, of Hazelhurst, who passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Satilla Freewill Baptist Church.
Rev. Charles Carter & Rev. Greg Delk will officiate with burial in the Satilla Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Sweat was born in Waycross but had lived most of her life in Jeff Davis County. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Carter and Dorothy Spell Carter and the wife of the late Malcolm (Mack) Sweat. Mrs. Sweat was a member of the Satilla Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law: Mackie & Caroline Sweat of Hazelhurst; Wayne & Susan Sweat of Martinez; grandchildren and their spouses: Peyton & Michelle Sweat of North Augusta, SC, Adrien & Rodney Thomas of Hazelhurst; 6 great grandchildren; special caregivers: Anelda Butler, Susie Smith and Nora Brewer; several nieces & nephews.
