Laura Louise Adams, 45, of Pearl, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 1994 at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson. A waitress at Holiday Inn Hotel, she was born November 24, 1948, the daughter of Monroe Davis West and Mamie Ruthell Cain.
Funeral service was Monday at 3 p.m. Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Adams and Rev. LaJoyce Busby officiating. Burial was in Sarepta Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lanny Hillhouse, Bill Goodwin, Terry Dean Cain, Tony Max Cain, Tommy Cain, Darrell Parker, Randy Adams and Barry Adams.
Survivors include her husband, William Thurman Adams, Pearl; Two daughters, Lori Susan Hester, Jackson; Paula Lovorn, Slate Springs; one step-daughter, Alice Simmons, Calhoun City; One son, buster McGreger, Vardaman; one step-son, Bill Adams, Vardaman; Her mother, Ruthell Cain Norwood, Calhoun City; her stepfather, Elmer Norwood, Calhoun City; One sister, Lorelle Riggs, Melba, Id.; Five brothers, Maurice Adams, Olive Branch; Billy West, Corinth; Gary Adams, Birmingham, Al.; Curtis Norwood, Banner; Johnny Norwood, Bruce, and seven grandchildren.
