Services for Esther H.. Durden, 86, of 104 Clover Street in East Dublin, will be held at 2 p m. Friday in the C. Homer Adams Chapel of Aams Funeral Home. burial Will be in Northview Cemetery.
A native of Bulloch County, Mrs. Durden had lived in Laurens County most of her life, and was the daughter of the late Jasper and Rebecca Hodges, was the widow of James Inman Durden and was a member of the Baptist faith. She died Tuesday night in a Dublin hospital following a lengthy illness. Survivors include three daughters, Juanita D. Hewett of Dublin, Debbie D. Hartley of Wnghtsville and Robena D. Colson of Lyons; two sons, James Durden of Sparta and Bloys Durden of Dublin; four brothers, CarI Hodges and Vernon Hodges of Blackshear, Norman Hodges of Waycross and Quinten Hodges of Conyors; six sisters; Bernice H. Deal of Statesboro, Loreen H. Eur and Louise II Tyler of Savannah, and Dorothy H. Watkins of Savannah, Martha Sue H. Bell, and Margaret H. Hotihtiss of Jacksonville, Fla.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight at Adams Funeral Home.
