Mrs. John Eishen Claimed by Death
Mrs. John Joseph (Addie Ethel) Eishen, 332 N. Mulberry, died suddenly in her sleep this morning.

Born January 23, 1888 in Ohio, the daughter of Leonard and Elizabeth (Rains) Gettys, she married John Joseph Eishen of March 23, 1905 in Ohio, coming to Brookfield township in 1915. They moved to Fredonia township 17 years ago where they had since resided.

She was a member of the Brooks Memorial Methodist church and of the various circles of the church; member of the Women's Relief Corps and of the Rebekah Lodge and the Ladies Aid Encampment.

Surviving besides her husband are, one daughter, Mrs. James (Agnes) Davidson of Kalamazoo; two sons, Orville of Olivet and Oscar of Fredonia township; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Blair of Painesville, Ohio and Mrs. Iona Kosch of Findley, Ohio; three brothers, Daniel Gettys, Charlotte; Thomas Gettys of Waterloo, Indiana, and Walter Getty of Definace; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. John Joseph (Addie Ethel) Eishen, 332 N. Mulberry, who died suddenly in her sleep this morning will be held from the Court funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Carl B. Strange of Brooks Memorial Methodist church will officiate and interment will follow in Lyon Lake cemetery. Friends who wish may call.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Eishen of North Mulberry street who died Friday morning were held today at 1:30 p.m. from the Court funeral home, the Rev. Carl B. Strange of Brooks Memorial Methodist church officiating and Paul Humiston organist. Interment followed in Lyon Lake cemetery. Pallbearers were Duane Leonard, Larry, Donald and James Davidson and Dale Southward. Honorary bearers were John Davidson and Elon Eishen.

MARSHALL -- Mrs. Addie Ethel Eishen, 72, of 332 N. Mulberry St., Marshall, died early this morning in her sleep at her home. She was born Addie Gettys in Ohio and was married to John Joseph Eishen there March 23, 1905. They came to Michigan in 1915 and moved to Marshall 17 years ago after living in Eaton County and Fredonia Township. She was a member of the Brooks Memorial Methodist Church and of the various circles of that church. she also was a member of the Women's Relief Corps, the Rebekah Lodge and the Ladies Aid Auxiliary Encampment of that lodge. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. James (Agnes) Davidson of Kalamazoo; two sons, Orville of Olivet and Oscar of Fredonia Township; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Blair of Painsville, Ohio, and Mrs. Iona Kosch of Findlay, Ohio, and three brothers, Daniel Gettys of Charlotte, Thomas Gettys of Waterloo, Ind. and Walter Gettys of Defiance, Ohio.
