Mrs. Tenella Collins Gray, 84, life-long resident of Jackson and Butts County, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Griffin. Mrs. Gray was born October 29, 1923 in Butts County. She was the daughter of the late Levie and Berta Lee Collins. She was retired from banking and for many years had been employed at the C and S Bank in Jackson. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Second Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Diane Cook of Jackson; one daughter and son-in-law, H. Marie and James Smith of Bowden; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, W.L. Collins of Griffin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tenella Collins Gray were held Saturday, July 5, 2008 from the Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Dr. John Davis officiated. The interment was held in the Jackson City Cemetery.
