Arminta Sykes Hickey, who was a half-sister of J.W. Sykes of Newport, died at the home of her daughter at Oakland, Ill., Nov. 26, 1916. Seven children survive; also seven half-brothers and half-sisters. The funeral services were held Nov. 28 at the Pentecost church of which she was a member. Rev. C.M. Jones officiated. Burial took place at the Rosedale cemetery, north of Oakland.
