Mr. Cooper was a son of the late Aquilla J. and Cynthia Forword Cooper. He was born near Delta but moved to Maryland when he was about twenty years of age. For several years he was engaged in farming near Aberdeen. At the time of death, and during the past four years he operated a filling station on the Darlington road near Level.
Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Lillie Wells Cooper , and four children, Herbert M. and Edward E., Havre de Grace; Mrs. Carroll Craig and Mrs. Paul Guilfoyle, Level; one sister Mrs. Sallie Curry, Baltimore; one brother, Clinton Cooper, Aldino.
Funeral services were held from his late home on Monday at two o'clock with the Rev. H. I. Murphy, officiating. Interment was made in Angel Hill cemetery at Havre de Grace. The pallbearers were six nephews, Nelson, Earnest and Winfield Cooper, William, Harry and Webster Carsins.
