*** Lance Corporal Mahoney was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On July 6, 1968, he was killed by enemy small arms fire near Quang Tri, South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
