She was born in Ritchie County February 10, 1887, a daughter of the late John Mintor and Margaret Davis Conrad.
On July 17, 1907, she was married to George Bayard Ervin, who preceded her in death April 17, 1978.
Surviving are three daughters, one son, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
One son, Woodrow Jackson Ervin and one brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Erin was widely known for her talented scriptural writings and poetry and though an invalid for the past four years, she worked tirelessly to complete the work she had begun 40 years earlier.
She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Bible Baptist Church of Belva.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 18 at 2 p.m. from the Floyd Funeral home, with the Rev. Lee Swore and Rev. Robert Robinson officiating. Interment followed in the MachpelahCcemetery.
