Six children were born to this union: Kenneth M., Dorothy J., Leslie C., Mildred N., Marie, and Mary J. Clair was injured when he fell off the roof of his house and subsequently died from his injuries. He died on 18 Oct 1948 at the Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was laid to rest in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
