MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- Reavis Allen, 75, of Gulfport and Montgomery, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Montgomery.

Mr. Allen was a native of Gulfport and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Gulfport High School and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He was a former member of Queen of Mercy Church in Montgomery and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach. He was a past president of the Alabama State Hotel-Motel Association and was the general manager of Chateau Charmant Condominiums in Gulfport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T.C. and Audrey Allen; and a son, Frank Wesley Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Allen; a son, Richard Allen of Montgomery; three brothers, Gordon Allen and Bruce Allen, both of Gulfport and Tommy Allen of Decatur, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport. Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.

The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society or St. Thomas Church in Long Beach. 2000 The Sun Herald
