Mrs. Wright, a native of Portsmouth, had retired from Smith & Welton Department Stores after 43 years. She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church and was the widow of John W. Wright Sr.
Survivors include a son, John W. Wright Jr. of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Raymond Gallilee of Portsmouth and Melvin Gallilee of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Bill Kincaid. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
