Irene Shupe, 59, of Kennewick, passed from this life on December 6, 2009 while being cared for at the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice, surrounded by her family. She was born to Harold and Viola Shupe on October 23, 1950 in Pasco, WA. Irene attended Pasco High School. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Irene was a loving and caring person who was loved by all who met her. She loved her nieces and nephews and would often read to them. We will miss her very much, especially her sense of humor. Irene was greeted in heaven by her mother, grandmother, grandfather and brother. She will be dancing and laughing forever. Heaven just acquired another guardian angel to watch over us.
Irene is survived by Jackie Lechett (Delroy) of Whidbey Island, Susan Bald (Kurt) of Touchet, Judy Rickenbach (Mark) of Richland, Marilyn Ulrich (Dennis) of Dallas, OR, Pam Brown (Dan) of Kennewick, Jack Shupe (Jill) of Kennewick, and Jill Mulrooney (John) of Camano Island, WA, and nieces and nephews.
Irene is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Viola Shupe, grandparents Charles and Clara Griffith, and John and Mary Shupe, brother, Nicholas Shupe.
We would like to give our heartfelt thanks for the loving care she received for many years at the Talley Adult Care home. Thank you to Caroline Talley, LaJay Hall, Felicitas Flores and to her special friend Patricia Skogan.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 24 at City View Cemetery, 1300 N. Oregon Ave., Pasco, WA.
