Jean Henninger was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Queens College in Charlotte, N.C., with a degree in history. She made good use of her education working as a historian and archivist at the Dearborn Historical Museum in Michigan and South Carolina State
Archives where she researched everything from settlement trends to slave sales. Jean's last job was working as the historian for the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at their national office in Atlanta. She was a good mother.
