Anna Myrtle Brown died Thursday, April 8, 1993, at her residence in Kingman following a long illness. She was 74. A native of Nebraska, she was born on Dec. 10, 1918. Mrs. Brown was educated in her native Nebraska and taught school in rural Wyoming. She also owned several gas stations and grocery stores in Wyoming, including a business in Kinnear, Wyo. She also was active helping her husband in the concrete business in Wheatland, Wyo. After retiring in 1974, she lived in Nampa, Idaho, and in several areas in Wyoming, Prior to moving to Kingman in 1988. In January 1993, she moved from Kingman to Santa Maria, Calif., to be closer to her son. She had also formerly resided in Santa Maria from 1959-1970. Mrs. Brown's hobbies included traveling, church activities, her cats and poetry.

She is survived by sons, Melvin J. Brown of Santa Maria, Calif., and Jerry Brown of Centralia, Wash.; sisters, Frances Peek of Odessa. Mo., and Martha Williams of Chula Vista, Calif.; brother, Melvin Sutterfield of Chula Vista, Calif.; and by four grandchildren and by one great-granddaughter.
