Mrs. Bettie Manar Dies on Tuesday Evening at Home.
Mrs. Bettie Manar passed away Tuesday night at 9:30 o'clock, after a week's illenss following a stroke on Wednesday of last week. She died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Bright on North Second Street, where she resided.
Bettie Bright was born July 18, 1863, and was 81 years of age. She was the daughter of the late George and Amanda L. Bright. Her first marriage was to Middleton Meade, and two daughters were born to the union. After the death of her husband she married James Manar. He preceded her in death several years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. L. Barrineau of Alvarado and Mrs. W. A. Martin of Denver, Colo.; and two brothers, R. L. Bright and C. S. Bright both of Honey Grove.
Mrs. Manor was a consecrated Christian and was a member of the Baptist church. The funeral services were held Thursday morning at the late home, conducted by Dr. J. Thompson Baker, pastor of Main Street Presbyterian church, with burial at Oakwood cemetery.
