Claudia Miranda Avalos, 55, of Wauchula, passed away on Oct. 14. 2012, in Bradenton.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1957 in Michoacan, Mexico, and moved to Hardee County 33 years ago from Mexico.
She preceded her beloved husband, Flaviano Avalos, in death by just moments.
Claudia is survived by her parents, Antonio and Paula Miranda of Mexico; two sons, Carlos Avalos and wife Lacey of Wauchula, and Jose Avalos and wife, Maria of Riverview; one daughter, Cristina Avalos-Zamora and husband Cesar of Wauchula; six brothers, Gregorio, Alberto, Lorenzo, Antonio, Ricardo and Jose Miranda; three sisters, Juana Villa, Rogelia Alvarez and Maria Miranda; and six grandchildren, Rafael, Christian, Ramiro, Favian, Adriyanna and Cesar.
Visitation will be in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 404 W. Palmetto St., Wauchula from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at St. Michael catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos Sack officiating. Burial will follow in Wauchula Cemetery.
