Sudden Death.
James W. White of South Lincoln dropped dead in his garden, Monday morning from heart failure.
Mr. White had been In poor health for two or three years but had generally been able to attend to his duties as clerk in the office of W.H. Hose, chief of the Santa Fe bridge department.
He was an old Santa Fe employee of 22 years standing. A highly respected citizen and pleasant neighbor.
He moved from Emporia to Chanute four or five years ago and had made many friends.
He was 61 years old and leaves a widow and seven children, five of whom live in Chanute, Kansas.
