An angel filled with wit and creativity was sent to Marvin and Erma Allen living in Salt Lake City. She excelled in school and graduated from Granite High School.

Her fun loving spirit and testimony brought joy to all those she taught and associated with through junior Sunday school, young women, Sunday school, and relief society in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She loved being outdoors and had a special relationship with several dogs throughout her life. Her creativity was evident by her beautiful needlework and crafts.

She didn't have a middle name, but that could have been "parties." Her family and friends reaped the benefit of her generosity through all the parties she held during the years. She especially loved Christmas and she celebrated it with a lavish party and an individual gift to each family member, neighbors and friends.

Even though she had many medical and physical problems, she always counted her blessings, and she was a blessing to us.

She is survived by her siblings and their families: Sylvia and Bob Olsen, Larry and Jeanette Allen, Viola Knecht, Calvin and Katherine Allen, Darrell and Dee Ann Allen and Barbara and Bruce Gudmundson.

A funeral service will be held Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. in the Gregson LDS Ward Chapel, 3151 S. 900 East in Salt Lake City. The family will meet with friends prior to services at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. For condolences to the family see larkinmortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Primary Children's Hospital.
